Martin Schwimmer has asked Bloglines to remove his feed from their service, as he believes their use of it one their site is commercial, and goes beyond what his CC license allows. His reasoning all seems reasonable in itself, but why bother having a feed in the first place?
Ok, if I were in his position and felt strongly about it I'd have been tempted to do one of two things, depending on my mood. In a good mood then I'd insert additional references back to my blog, gain a bit of commercial flow. In a bad mood I'd put something in my robots.txt along these lines:
User-agent: UltraLiberalRSSParser
Disallow: /rss.xml
(from http://scripting.com/robots.txt)

We had this kind of problem on LiveJournal after they started offering syndicated accounts: only paid users could add RSS feeds, therefore adding a feed was, in some people's opinions, something which increased LiveJournal's worth as a service.
I believe that after LJ offered adding syn feeds to free users as well (just not the creation of new feeds), we didn't get any more complaints like that. Additionally, in most cases, we advised people on how to block LiveJournal from fetching their feeds, rather than doing anything on our end. (The only case this didn't apply was screenscraped feeds, especially of comics: these feeds are not autorized by the author, and are suspended on request from an authorized representative of the copyright holder.)
Lastly, I think bloglines uses a special User-Agent: I don't think that using the UltraLiberal line will work. However, you could use "Bloglines", I think, or explicitly block the IP, if Bloglines doesn't listen. (I'm not sure they do: I've never seen a Bloglines robots.txt request.)

The bloglines aggregator does not check robots.txt. The point is that if you *publish* a feed aggregators take that as permission to aggregate it. You'd have to block by user agent or by ip.

Because he doesn't mind people reading it. However, if Bloglines republishes it, they're adding more value to a commercial entity, a use which could definitely be called commercial. I, to be quite frank, agree with him: If he says NC, then it shouldn't be benefiting anyone other than the reader.
So, people who want to add it to their local RSS aggregator, fine. If someone wants to republish the links from that, I doubt that would be a problem. The problem is republishing the full, copyrighted content of his work in order to support a commercial entity: which is exactly what bloglines is doing.
(How do people live without threaded comments?)

I think Martin Schwimmer's post is not very good. He doesn't really back up his arguments with any evidence:
* There are no screenshots or examples of what he is referring to. (If he is concerned with violating Bloglines's copyright, he just has to create a mockup with a different design.)
* I checked bloglines and couldn't find what he was referring to. The closest that I can see are RSS feeds transformed to HTML in the "preview" links.
It is also a little hypocritical of him to disallow Bloglines of transforming his feeds while allowing Google to cache his web site. Google sells adds on their web site; where's the outrage?
Furthermore, he recommends "subscribing to one of the many RSS programs available." Bloglines could be considered a free (as in beer) web-service-based RSS program. At least, that's how I occasionally use their service (note: I never created an account at Bloglines).
I am not a lawyer, but that post really makes me doubt their intentions. I wouldn't use their services.

For the record, I think that he's making a big, very bad, mistake. To essentially cut off 190 readers is a blunder, no matter how many other readers he's got. You've essentially said to those users that they aren't worth your time.
His post seems to assume that "non-commercial" means "not fitting the commercial model that I desire" - something that obviously wouldn't stand up in court.
Personal opinion is that he just wants more site traffic, and thinks he'll get it this way. I don't think he will.

Ok. I can see if bloglines is *republishing* which based on comments i've seen around they are in some manner (how I'm not sure), then hey may have a point. But when I subscribe to the feed using bloglines am I breaking his licensing terms? Is that different than netnewswire?
As for getting more readers, he's sure getting a fair amount of attention...

In NetNewsWire, the content is all stored locally: Although it's a "republishing", it's only locally.
However, services like Bloglines (and the one I'm more familiar with, LiveJournal) take the data and store it locally for redisplay to anyone who asks. I can go to bloglines and find my feed: all of the content is there, not loaded directly from my RSS, but loaded instead from Bloglines's MySQL servers.
By publishing an RSS feed, it can be said that I am implicitly stating that the information can be cached locally. However, Bloglines makes a business (or do they? I don't know if they make any money, or plan to) on redisplaying other people's content. Especially in cases where I explicitly state that my content is not for commercial use, this could be considered a violation of such a license.
If the weblog does not display any copyleft license, Bloglines really could be in legal hot water for republishing it - which they do. It is my information, and bloglines frames it inside their content. They don't try to take away my attribution, but they do take my content.

En los EE.UU y otros países angloparlantes, se comenzó a practicar de forma rutinaria la circuncisión neonatal debido a un supuesto efecto preventivo contra la masturbación y la clitoridectomía a las chicas que eran descubiertas haciéndolo.
